PHOTOVILLE 2018 Exhibition
PHOTOVILLE, New York City’s premier photo festival, is a modular event built out of shipping containers, combining indoor and outdoor exhibitions, talks, workshops, a beer garden, and night-time screenings in Brooklyn Bridge Park, runs from September 13 - 23, 2018.
It was such an honoured to be able to partnering with MUG Publishing under the theme of “Seoul, capital of South Korea” as an exhibitor at the Photoville 2018 in NYC.

The Chaos After You
如果雨之後 비가 내린 후에
The Chaos After You is a song title came from one of my favourite singer called Eric Chou. He used rain to represent the chaos he got after a breakup.
Therefore, I used its title as a reference and recreated it. I made it as my theme to express my feelings and experiences of living in a foreign country alone, then by using photography to tell my stories to others.

In the fall of 2018, the Extraordinary Project team organised an exhibition of Sensation Photography_Between or Border at two booths at Photoville, New York.
One of the two booths was 'Seoul'. The photographers of the book are all from Photoville and present their works as well as works that have not yet been displayed.

머그의 엑스트라 오디너리 프로젝트팀은 2018년 가을, 뉴욕의 가장 큰 프리미엄 사진 축제 중의 하나인 포토빌 뉴욕 Photoville NYC에서 두 개의 부스에 Sensation Photography_Between or Border 전시를 기획하였다. 두 개의 부스 중 하나는 ’서울’을 주제로 구성되었는데, 이는 국내외에서 사진 활동을 하는 프로, 아마추어 사진작가를 대상으로 사전 공모를 통해 선발된 작가들의 작품을 전시하였다. 이 공모는 외국인과 한국인이 바라보는 서울은 어떻게 다른지, 서울은 개개인에게 어떤 의미인지, 왜 서울에 모이는지 등에 관한 다양한 시각을 공유하고 다시 생각해보는 기회를 얻고자 진행하였다. 이 책의 작가는 모두 포토빌에서 전시한 작가이며, 그들의 전시작과 함께 미처 전시하지 못한 작품까지 모두 소개하고 있다.
